Lipton Toyota Wishes all Dads a Happy Father’s Day!

Toyota Camry is driving all dads into the limelight for this wonderful upcoming Father’s Day.



To celebrate this great holiday, Toyota is temporarily placing an I (Heart) Dad monument, as a special gift for all dads, on the famous Santa Monica Beach Pier in Southern California. Designed by DJ Neff, the structure is 15 feet tall, nearly 30 feet long, and was made of natural wood from California. Toyota has also installed an Instaprint machine near the I (Heart) Dad monument, which allows people to instantly print their Instagram photos of their dad and the monument using the hashtag, #OneBoldChoice. The monument will be on the pier from Tuesday, June 16 to Monday, June 22. So, if you are planning on visiting Southern California for Father’s Day, don’t forget to stop by.



This year’s Father’s Day campaign uses social media to share one small, but meaningful message, much like the Super Bowl XLIX marketing campaign, “One Bold Choice Leads to Another.” Jack Hollis, group vice president of marketing, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. said, they were excited that during the Super Bowl, Toyota got people to think about their dads. “What better way to continue that connection than by starting a timely, new conversation on Father’s Day,” he said.


Last month, Toyota, pairing up with director Ivan Cash, conducted “man on the street” interviews in Los Angles. In these interviews, people were asked what they had planned for Father’s Day. Some answers were funny, some were odd, and some were heart-wrenching. Phil Eastman, a respondent to an interview, was even given the opportunity by Toyota, to return home in Hyattville, Wyoming to surprise his father.



The video above is a main commercial for the new Father’s Day campaign, titled, “Father’s Day Redo.” Other commercials Toyota aired during the Super Bowl will appear on CBS This Morning, The Tonight Show, Castle, and Modern Family.
