Lipton Toyota Presents a Check for $5,000 to The American Cancer Society

Every year, Lipton Toyota sponsors the Jail and Bail event benefiting the American Cancer Society.

 

This year, the fundraising event, Jail and Bail of Broward, took place from June 23rd until June 26th. 

Continuing our tradition every year, the Lipton Toyota family presented a check for $5,000 to the American Cancer Society. 

At Lipton Toyota, we are very proud to sponsor a fundraising event that benefits such an important cause. The American Cancer Society continues to save lives and create more birthdays for people who are threatened by cancer in our community.

In this annual fundraising event, Jail and Bail, volunteers are arrested (for pretend) and are held in a makeshift jail. 

Remember, the arrest is for a good cause and while in jail, they call family and friends and ask them to donate money for their release. All of the funds raised by these voluntary participants are donated to the American Cancer Society to help those who are threatened by the horror of cancer. 

All who take part in this wonderful fundraiser are willing participants who have come together to help support this great cause. The Lipton Toyota family is proud to continue in the tradition of sponsoring the annual Jail and Bail benefiting the American Cancer Society. 

Toyota Supports the 2015 Special Olympics World Games

As you may know, the 2015 Special Olympics World Games started just three days ago, on July 25th. Toyota is supporting this great event by doing all of the following:

• Helping to transport Special Olympics USA athletes and coaches around Los Angeles by providing 400 vehicles to the World Games.
• Provided vehicle assistance for the World Games’ Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) as well as the Special Olympics Unified Relay Across America (URAA) presented by Bank of America as the Flame of Hope made its way to Los Angeles.
• Partnered with the Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles to have three large scale murals made in Los Angeles to celebrate the spirit of the Special Olympics World Games.

At Los Angeles, the site of this year’s Special Olympics, there are countless amazing things to do to celebrate this fantastic event! 

At the Los Angeles Convention Center there are gaming halls where you can do anything from, playing table tennis on a Toyota Tundra to color by number on a Toyota Avalon. 

Another amazing place where you can find Toyota is in UCLA’s Wilson Park and USC’s Alumni Park, where we have our own Toyota tent and more color by number vehicles. 

For those of us in the Miami / Fort Lauderdale area, we don’t even have to be in Los Angeles to join the fun. Campus Design for New Toyota North American Headquarters Unveiled

On June 24, 2015, Toyota released the architectural design of the new North American Toyota headquarters in Plano, Texas. The buildings and outdoor spaces help to support our “One Toyota” vision by encouraging creativity and discovery. As well as this great event, the Toyota Ever-Better Expedition for North America was launched. Read more about this great expedition in our previous blog post here.

This amazing new architectural design includes:

• A central plaza, surrounded by seven, up to five story tall, buildings. The plaza includes fitness, conferencing, and dining facilities.
• Water irrigation features.
• Office buildings and parking structures.
• Solar panels for renewable energy.
• Mostly glass building fronts, with many roof overhangs on the southern sides for shade;
• And many more amazing features!
